SUNSET PARK ELEMENTARY
Grace UMC is reaching out to students at Sunset Park Elementary
School in several ways. We have a supply drive when needed and a
book drive so that each student gets a book to take home. We are
also providing library help and in classroom help with reading, etc.
Our outreach also focuses on the staff by providing Support Partners,
occasional snacks and lunch. All of these provide a way to share
God’s love with them throughout the year.
How you can help:
*Volunteer to be in a classroom a few hours once a week. This is so much
appreciated by the teachers that participate.
*Volunteer to assist the librarian.
*Provide financial help to the programs – supplies, pizza for Parent Night, books
etc.

*Volunteer to be a Support Partner. The program is simple. Individuals or
couples adopt a Sunset Park Elementary School staff member for the
year and agree to pray for that person regularly. We also encourage
you to do special things for your Support Partner such as giving
birthday gifts, sending cards on special occasions, giving Christmas
gifts, and helping with snacks in the teacher’s lounge.

Because Sunset Park does not have a PTA, our contact with them
goes a long way in encouraging them. This is a small commitment to
make, but the impact on the staff at this school is abundant.
