Activity Center

ACTIVE FELLOWSHIP

The newest addition to Grace UMC is our state of the art Bullock Activity Center complete with a youth-sized basketball and/or volleyball court. Restrooms with showers and a modern restaurant-style kitchen capable of catering up to 350 people are also located within the Activity Center.

This space is an integral part of fellowship for Grace UMC–there is always
something fun happening ‘in the gym’.

We offer a weekly Bootcamp fitness class and our children and youth ministries regularly meet in this space for breakfast, Kid’s Corner and Kids 4 Christ. Additionally, our UMW and Nurture Committee regularly conduct luncheons and conferences throughout the year.

BUILDING HISTORY

The building was completed in 2010 and formally dedicated on January 16, 2011. This was achieved through the hard work and dedication of the Imagine Grace Building Committee. This committee gained approval to build in April 2008 and the following year on May 17, 2009 we conducted a ground-breaking ceremony.

The vision encompassed a plan to expand the church grounds with a versatile and welcoming space for all the congregation. Upon completion, the building project created new office space for the church staff, a Welcome Center, elevator with access to 3 levels of the church campus, state-of-the-art gymnasium, high capacity kitchen and a covered entryway with vehicle access.

Memorial Garden

SACRED SPACE FOR DEARLY DEPARTED

The Grace Memorial Garden is a special place on the church grounds for the scattering of the cremated remains of loved ones. The Garden serves as a fitting remembrance and is a visible symbol of our faith in the resurrection, life everlasting, and the church triumphant.

The Garden is located on the south grounds of Grace United Methodist Church in an area between the sanctuary and the education building. This is a sacred space, consecrated for the remains of the dearly departed. The living find quietude in the garden surrounded by peace and beauty, while we remember with reverence loved ones whose souls rest in heavenly repose.
