Cinderella’s Closet of Wilmington provides formal wear to girls that could not otherwise attend prom. Even more important than providing a beautiful prom dress, we are able to provide an experience like no other for these young ladies. Once they enter Cinderella’s Closet, they are lavished with hospitality, love and grace. They leave believing they are cherished. It is for this reason that we opened Cinderella’s Closet.

Cinderella’s Closet 2025 Prom Shopping Events

We are excited to announce that the 2025 Cinderella’s Closet prom shopping events will be on Friday, February 28th-Saturday, March 1st and again on Friday, March 21st-Saturday, March 22nd. These events serve students in New Hanover and surrounding counties that are going to their schools’ prom but need assistance with the perfect prom outfit. In order to make these events a success, we need the help of the ladies of Grace! Volunteering only takes two hours and there are many different types of opportunities available – Fairy Godmothers to help find a dress, greeters to check in our princesses, dress rackers to keep everything moving and as always, we need seamstresses to do very minor alterations (straps and hems). We also can use support leading up to the events getting our rooms in order and supplying treats for students and their families. dedicated to promoting confidence and self-esteem in New Hanover High School girls. We achieve this by providing a personalized shopping experience for each Princess.

Simply contact your guidance counselor for a form. Our events take place on two days during the Spring Semester. Appointments are made through School Counselors.
